⚾ The Indicator + Action System

Interactive Baseball Sign Decoder & Training Dashboard

🧠 The Playbook

This section serves as your static reference guide for the team's official sign system. It outlines the core principles of how signs are transmitted from coach to player. Review these rules to understand the logic that powers the interactive simulator on the right.

1. The Indicator

The sign is NOT live until the coach touches their Chin.

2. The Action

The very first touch immediately following the Chin is the live instruction.

3. The Wipe-Off

If the coach Swipes Across Chest at ANY TIME (even after a live sign), the sequence is canceled. The play becomes "nothing".

4. Decoys

Touches before the Chin, or after the action sign, mean nothing. They confuse the opponent.

✋ Action Dictionary

A quick lookup table for all active signs. Remember, standard actions require the Chin indicator first, while standalone signs can be executed at any time without an indicator.

Body Part Touched The Play Type
Shoulder Steal Requires Indicator
Hand Hit and Run Requires Indicator
Middle of Chest Bunt for a Hit Requires Indicator
Belt Sacrifice Bunt Requires Indicator
Arm out (Palm down) TAKE Standalone
Fists pounding SWING AWAY Standalone

📊 Touch Efficiency Analytics

This visualization tracks your generated sequences in real-time. It categorizes every touch you make in the simulator to illustrate the 'noise to signal' ratio inherent in a robust sign system. A high percentage of decoys indicates a well-disguised system.

🔁 Practice Scenarios

Test your understanding of the rules by analyzing the specific sequences detailed in the team report. Read the sequence of touches, decide what the final call should be in your head, and then click to reveal the correct answer and the logical breakdown.
